Laila began dancing on the stage with her mother from the young age of three. Now as an adult she holds over 16 years of performance experience, which has been developed and honed over the years.
As a young child, Laila began performing and attending professional workshops alongside her mother. She now continues to learn and seek out training from both national and international teachers.
Her instinctive pull to the dance has both been influenced by her Syrian, Armenian background and exposure to the Sydney Belly Dance community of the 90’s. Laila’s dancing is characterised by her joyous improvisation and a sensitive interpretation of the music bringing her own distinctive feeling and warmth to the dance.
