Learn bellydance fundamentals, such as isolations, pops, drops, circles, shimmies, hip flicks, hip drops, belly rolls, figure 8's, snake arms and Egyptian walk as well as short combinations to string the movements together. Get to experience the joy of performing with a team in front of live audiences at the intermediate level, and then step up to achieve a high level of mastery in advanced classes. With our collaboration with Strut Entertainment we provide a pathway for your dancing education that includes cultural immersion and different genres of Bellydance.
Advanced bellydance classes are for the dedicated student or professional dancer. We develop strength and confidence in advanced movements, props, challenging choreography, musicality and improvisation. Master the broad array of belly dance genres such as classical Baladi, Danse Orientale, folkloric Egyptian and gulf styles and get to work with live musicians and guest instructors. Recommended for dancers with a minimum of 2-3 years bellydance training.

BELLYDANCE FUNDAMENTALSMONDAY 6:30 - 7:30PMLearn foundation Belly Dance movements, including isolations, shimmies, circles, belly rolls and various hip movements. Students will practice short combinations to learn to string the movements together. Pitched at a beginner level, Intermediate students are also invited to attend to work on more complex versions of these movements including speed and layering.
BELLYDANCE ADVANCEDmonday 8:30 - 10:00pmDevelop strength and confidence in advanced movements, props, challenging choreography, musicality and improvisation.

Belly dancing with the use of veils

BELLYDANCE INTERMEDIATEMONDAY 7:30 - 8:30PMReceive an introduction to choreography and props such as veils, fan veils, wings, canes, swords and zills. Gain greater insight into different Bellydance genres including both Modern (oriental) and Traditional (folkloric) styles. Opportunities to perform work developed in this class. Recommended for dancers with 6-12 months of training.

Do you teach any regular bellydance classes?
We currently have weekly classes in Alphington and conduct private lessons from our studio in Abbotsford. We also run special workshops and classes with guest teachers and musicians. We are also available for private lessons in your home or the studio.
